Believe it or not the business of
landscaping takes a lot of keeping up with new products and learning about
better ways to get things done for our customers. During the winter months our
schedule slows down enough to take the time to go to conferences, network with
other professionals and actually find time to read. This year our whole crew was
able to attend the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Green Expo. “Going Green” is
everywhere and the landscaping industry is no exception.
Hot landscaping projects for 2009 are
Outdoor Kitchens, extending living space with Outdoor Great Rooms and Water
Features continue to be popular with homeowners.
Germaine has been studying and attended a conference on Permaculture presented
by Midwest Permaculture that is a model of landscaping that takes sustainability
up a notch. You’ll hear more about these topics in upcoming newsletters.
